WARNING: If you don't like leading males that are possessive pr**ks, Dominic is NOT for you. If you don't like leading females that are stubborn bi**hes, Dominic is NOT for you. If you don't like characters who have bad tempers, Dominic is NOT for you. Most of all, if you don't like characters who CURSE A LOT and say EXACTLY what they feel and are thinking without sugar coating it then Dominic is REALLY NOT for you. I just want this warning in here so people will be aware of the books content :) After a car accident killed her parents when she was a child, Bronagh Murphy chose to box herself off from people in an effort to keep herself from future hurt. Dominic is used to attention, and when he and his brothers move to Dublin, Ireland for family business, he gets nothing but attention. Attention from everyone except the beautiful brunette with a sharp tongue. Dominic wants Bronagh and the only way he can get to her, is by dragging her from the boxed off corner she has herself trapped in the only way he knows how...by force. Dominic wants her, and what Dominic wants, Dominic gets.

Dominic I was the boy who would never be king. The monster who could never be loved. Gia was just a job. Just another girl caught in a world of monsters. It didn't matter that I liked the look of her. I didn't care that she cringed when she saw my soul. I liked it. I liked her fear. And I wanted her. Monsters didn't get to live happily ever after, though. I knew one day I'd have to go back. Because time neither forgave nor forgot. And neither did I. Old debts needed to be settled. Enemies punished. It was past time I returned to the family business. I'd been gone far too long. Gia All my life, I believed in fairy tales. Not the Disney kind. Never those. I always knew life was darker than that. I was the daughter of a foot soldier. The sister of a snitch. A nobody. Monsters had been part of my life for as long as I could remember, but none as dark as Dominic Benedetti. None as cruel. None as broken. I had no illusions about what he was. I had no desire to save his soul. And I couldn't care about his bleeding heart. But love isn't always beautiful. It could be a twisted, ugly bitch. I'd always known this was the kind I'd find. The only kind that could touch me. Because some of us, we belonged in the dark. And Dominic and I belonged in the dark.
Dear Friends, I am leaving in rather a hurry to see more of the world, so I have no time to say goodbye to you individually. I embrace you all and sniff you with love. I don't know when I'll be back. But back I will be. Dominic It's time for a change, so Dominic packs his collection of hats and his piccolo and heads out, letting the world take him where it may. When Dominic encounters members of the Doomsday Gang, he easily foils their attempt to rob him. Legend of his victory quickly spreads, and each new friend Dominic meets tells him a story of their own less-fortunate meeting with the villains, and asks for help from the heroic dog. But can one lone dog bring down an entire band of hooligans?
This story is about the life of a young man, named Jim Baxter, who is injured in the War and decides to go to medical school and become a doctor to serve his fellow man. While in school he suffers a life threatening accident that leaves him scarred and deformed. Ashamed of his appearance, he decides to live on the Island of Dominica, where he hopes that no one will care about his appearance. In his quest to still practice medicine, he devotes himself to the Carib Indians, a native people that live on the tiny island. As the story unfolds, Jim touches the lives of others, as his life is touched by the hand of God. It is my great honor that I was able to work on this story with my grandfather. Dr. James Howell Ed Robinette has done an excellent job with sharp visuals to bring the reader right into the story. In no time you are there following the characters as they move around the island. Robinette has that rare ability to make a movie inside the head of any reader. I loved the fact that it was so easy and fun to read. I am sure he will have many more as he clearly loves to tell a story. Lantz Powell. President of the Chattanooga Writers Guild

A beautifully written and stunningly evocative debut novel, DOMINIC follows the title character's adventures through the collapse of the ancient Roman Empire, depicting a society rife with reckless abandon and chaos, a world of display and caprice. Into this milieu arrives Dominic, an orphaned dwarf child from Gaul. Left to fend for himself, his travels bring him into contact with many colorful personalities, such as a caravan of gypsies and the inmates of a dungeon. His adventures eventually land him in the company of a friend, the gigantic Danish bard Kevin Dunskaldir, who helps him defeat an evil as sinister as any force threatening the empire. Creating two unique heroes, who act against the mighty backdrop of a society in transition, Robinson successfully brings together all the elements of a literary masterpiece in this classic tale of friendship, fate and adversity. DOMINIC is exhilarating historical fiction, featuring characters you won't easily forget.
