This insightful book is based on the premise that some children need extra help and patience in developing key social skills. It shows teachers how to build these crucial skills — ranging from the ability to control speech and movement, through attention and concentration, to the ability to adapt to the evolving social environment of the classroom.
This book contains my thoughts on topics close to my heart, such as women’s issues, politics, love, nature, emotional bonds, career options, technology, unemployment, cleanliness, spirituality, domestic violence, wrong choices in life, music, aging, and other hues of life. Sometimes I do speak with my tongue in my cheek! I hope this book makes a dent somewhere as I often strike positive notes. My first book, ‘The Bottom Line’, was published in May 2015.

New England mountain recluse's poems reminiscent of those of the great Chinese and Taoist poet-sages.
This book is about transformation – spiritual, life-changing transformation available to you in the life you are living right now. The book is divided into sections – Inner Work, Holy Ground, Sabbath, Community and Vocation – reflecting and exploring the ways in which we experience the transformative process. And this process is explored in stories of simple, down-to-earth experiences of daily life. Some stories teach overtly. Others are more experiential. Each story concludes with searching questions, the kind a loving spiritual companion might put to you, inviting deeper reflection. The reader’s personal psychology and individual spiritual journey will be invited into a conversation that allows them to integrate and evolve. Readers of this book will learn to trust that everything is given in everyday life and to believe that transformation is available to all of us, right now. When we are transformed, the world is transformed. Isn’t that the Gospel, after all?
It begins and ends our life, the process of change. We are in a continuous state of change from the moment the egg is fertilized in the womb. Yet how we change determines the quality of our lives. We even change when we are unconscious, yet conscious changing determines the quality of our lives even more. The process of change is inevitable and is at the core of aging, and paying attention to how we do it can create a sense of agelessness and significantly alter the cellular aging process. How often have you looked in the mirror and thought, "If I could just slow down the clock." Guess what? You can! How often have you said, "I wouldn't be so stressed if I had more time...there just isn't enough time". Guess what? There's a way to have it! "Moment by Moment...An Ageless Process" offers some ideas on how to re-connect with life; changing the quality of our everyday living to conscious, and with that, changing the perception and experience of our lives. Together we will explore the subject of "core" consciousness and how unconscious living causes us to lose our life as we are in the very process of living it... how this impacts us physically and mentally, and how these responses affect our aging. We all share in this human journey, the highs and lows...the light and the dark . Paying attention to our behavior and choices can actually slow down the aging process. I'm hoping that through the story of my path of seeking to understand myself... to notice what I'm doing and what I'm feeling, you will gain an understanding of the influence we can have over our own lives.

A collection of stories, from the profound to the preposterous, inspired by a collection of curious characters, from the innate to the bizarre, and how each lives out the moments in their lives.
For thirty-six years, Marcus Sullivan has been the responsible older brother, stepping in to take care of his seven siblings after their father died when they were children. But when the perfectly ordered future he's planned for himself turns out to be nothing but a lie, Marcus needs one reckless night to shake free from it all. Nicola Harding is known throughout the world by only one name - Nico - for her catchy, sensual pop songs. Only, what no one knows about the twenty-five year old singer is that her sex-kitten image is totally false. After a terrible betrayal by a man who loved fame far more than he ever loved her, she vows not to let anyone else get close enough to find out who she really is...or hurt her again. Especially not the gorgeous stranger she meets at a nightclub, even though the hunger - and the sinful promises - in his dark eyes make her want to spill all her secrets. One night is all Nicola and Marcus agree to share with each other. But nothing goes as they plan when instead of simply tangling limbs, they find a deeper connection than either of them could have anticipated. And even though they both try to fight it, growing emotions - and sizzling attraction - keep drawing them closer together.
This collection of essays was written to mark the fortieth anniversary of the Second General Conference of Latin American Bishops, which convened at Medellin, Colombia, in 1968. Inspired by the Second Vatican Council and seeking to implement its vision, the bishops viewed the occasion as a decisive one for Latin America, which they saw as standing 'on the threshold of a new epoch in the history of our continent'. It appears to have been a time full of zeal for emancipation, of liberation from every form of servitude, of personal maturity and of collective integration. Forty years later, however, it is appropriate to remember the event and to review the significance of liberation theology in light of all that has happened during the intervening period. The colloquium at the Milltown Institute, Dublin, which led to this book, sought to do precisely that: to establish where liberation theology now stands by questioning whether it really is a significant theological and ecclesial movement or merely a moment whose time has passed, and to investigate its enduring legacy."

A moment—a scant sliver of time—into which the breath of life may be shared with another. One moment leads to another moment, and a string of moments creates Time. In time we see, we hear, we act, and we judge. We compare, we look for, we establish. Some of the time in excellence; some of the time in mediocrity. Each moment is important to the fullness of time. One moment poorly spent will inflict upon the remainder a taint hard to erase. A moment well spent will endue a lifetime of joy. Ultimately, it is one’s life in all its deviations. The observations and the experiences openly shared and confessed in truth and spirit. In the Moment It Is Written! In this moment, I have created a combination of events, thoughts, questions, reflections, and interactions that produce and give greater meaning and a deeper reverence for my personal relationship with God—Our Father. These influences have empowered me with a deeper perception of my purpose, In the Moment.
